Descriptive Writing - Lemons

It has been a very rewarding experience to go through the full process of planning Writing Motivation, Teaching and scaffolding the students in their writing, right through to creating a publishing template, publishing the students work, having them illustrate their work and then displaying their writing in the classroom.




I have learnt a lot about how to implement writing into the classroom and recently attended professional development in this area which focused on ways to expand rather than limit the topic choice and interpretation of students.  Topic selection is important here to enable the students the freedom to choose their own style of writing and content which they can relate to.  This is where the genuine writing comes from.
